A Superb Flintlock Officers Pistol by Jo Wood of York, Circa 1820. With heavy sighted octagonal barrel signed ‘York’ in script on the top flat and with platinum plug, beautifully engraved barrel tang fitted with rear sight, signed stepped lock, engraved with geometric designs around the lock, the cock en suite, figured half-stock cut with a band of chequering at the grip, with horn fore-end cap and vacant white metal escutcheon, steel mounts comprising border engraved trigger guard decorated with a stand of arms on the bow and pineapple finial, steel ramrod pipe, brass tipped ramrod.
