A Flintlock Blunderbuss Pistol by Dalton of Dublin. With brass two-stage barrel, belled at the muzzle, stamped with Dublin castle proofs and Irish registration mark, ‘DU1541’. engraved steel tang. Stepped, bevelled brass lock, signed ‘DALTON’. Full-stocked in walnut, with raised foliate moulding around the tang. Brass furniture, comprising engraved escutcheons, long-eared butt-cap decorated with foliage, trigger guard, decorated with foliage on the bow and acorn finial, turned ramrod pipes, with brass tipped ramrod.
