With two stage brass barrel, belled at the muzzle, decorated with scrolling foliage and signed ‘LONDON’ within a border on the top flat, stamped with London proofs and a barrel smiths mark, the barrel is also stamped with Irish registration marks, ‘MN 693’ (for County Monaghan). stepped border engraved lock, cock decorated en suite, full-stocked in walnut (some old repairs) with slab sided grip, brass side-plate (repaired) vacant escutcheon and foliate engraved trigger guard, unusually long ram-rod pipe (possibly a replacement) with iron ramrod.
