A Fine & Rare Double Barrelled Blunderbuss by Jackson of London. With swelling browned barrels stamped with Tower of London private proofs fitted with spring bayonet above, foliate engraved tang fitted with bayonet release catch, signed, stepped locks decorated with a spray of foliage at the tail and fitted with sliding safety catchesthree-quarter stocked tin walnut, cut with a band of chequering at the wrist, engraved steel mounts comprising butt plate dec orated with a stand of arms on the tail, trigger guard decorated with a shield on the bow and a pineapple finial and engraved ramrod pipes, with original horn tipped ramrod with worm. An incredibly scarce gun.
