A Scarce Double Barrel Flintlock Pistol by Barbar of London, With three-stage turn off barrels, numbered ‘2’ and ‘3’ at the breech, border engraved breech and action, stamped on both sides with Tower of London proofs, foliate engraved action with ‘London’ on a scroll to the right and ‘Barbar’ to the right, sliding pan cover, beautifully engraved tang, globulous butt engraved with scrolling silver wire (retaining approximately 90% of the silver wire) with unusual classical soldiers head escutcheon, foliate butt cap struck with silver hall-marks.
