A North European Helmet, Early 17th Century. Of iron with rounded one-piece skull with dome-headed lining rivets around the back of the neck along with plume-holder, visor and bevor pivoted at the same points, on the right a swivel catch for the bevor, rear neck guard of one lame with six brass rivets, bevor shaped to the chin and secured to the visor with a hook-catch, single neck plate with turned roped edge. Some damage and old repairs, overall a good homogenous helmet.
