A Cased Pair of 38 Bore Percussion Officers Pistols by Shaw of Manchester. With sighted twist barrels signed in full along the top-flats, ‘SHAW MARKET PLACE MANCHESTER’ foliate engraved breeches, profusely engraved tangs incorporating rear-sights, border engraved locks, profusely engraved with foliage and stands of arms, signed infant of the hammers, cocks decorated en suite, half-stocked in walnut cut with chequering at the grips with raised ‘tear-drop’ mouldings around the locks, with silver fore-end caps and barrel bolt escutcheons, engraved steel trigger guards, profusely engraved on the bow and stylised pineapple finials, with brass tipped ramrods: in their original lined and fitted case, with all accessories including tools and powder flask.
