A Cased 40 Bore Double Barrel Percussion Pistol by Hollis Brothers. With octagonal barrels, decorated with a geometric band at the muzzle and engraved, HOLLIS BROTHERS along the top flat and fitted with a top sprung bayonet, decorated with sprays of foliage toward the breech, foliate engraved box-lock action fitted with sliding safety catches , cocks decorated en suite, chequered walnut butt, with vacant oval escutcheon, foliate engraved butt cap with trap, foliate engraved trigger guard, fitted with captive ramrod and stamped with Birmingham proofs: in an associated box with flask, bullet mould and balls. The pistol has been in this box for some time.
