With blued octagonal sighted barrel engraved around the muzzle and with foliage at the breech, blued top-strap signed in full along the top-flat ‘JOHN BLISSETT & SON, 322 HIGH HOLBORN, LONDON’, line engraved cylinder struck with London proofs, blued border engraved frame decorated with scrolling foliage, steel trigger guard decorated with foliage on the bow, ovoid butt cap with lanyard ring, retaining large amounts of original finish: in its original lined and fitted oak case with accessories including Dixon & Sons powder flaks with split-ring for suspension, and brass bullet mould, etc. The interior of the lid with original trade label, the exterior with vacant brass escutcheon.
