A 17th Century Gorget. Formed of a single plate front and rear, both with pointed lower edges, the shallow front plate connected to the deeper rear one at the left by a pivoting rivet and fastened to it att he right by means of a mushroom-headed stud and keyhole slot, the upper edges of both plates are formed with inward turns and decorated with brass-headed lining rivets, old repairs to both plates, the front plate struck with an armourers mark at the point.
